Assurety is the market-leading provider of witness familiarisation and preparation, trusted by law firms in high-stakes litigation.


By booking or engaging Assurety Ltd (“Assurety”, “we”, “our” or “us”) to deliver training or related services, you agree to the terms set out below.

“Momodou” Declaration

For witness familiarisation and related training services, the booking party confirms that all participants will have read and agreed to the following condition prior to delivery:

I understand that I will not be able to discuss with Assurety Ltd or any of its representatives, at any point prior to or during this course, any of the contents of my evidence in any court or tribunal hearing in which l may be appearing as a witness. I understand that if I attempt to do so, Assurety Ltd and its representatives will refuse to discuss this and may bring a halt to the training. If during the course delivery I become aware that any of the training bears any strong similarity to the issues in my case, I will immediately alert the Assurety Ltd representatives.

Cancellation Policy – UK Delivery

For all courses, no fee will be charged provided we receive written notice of cancellation at least three full working days before the scheduled start time of the course. If notice is received after this point, the full course fee will be payable. For example, if a course is scheduled to begin at 2:00pm on Friday14th, we must receive written notice of cancellation no later than 2:00pm on Tuesday 11th for no fee to apply. Any cancellation received after 2:00pm on Tuesday 11th will result in the full fee being payable.

Any request to change the date or time of a course will be treated as a cancellation of the original booking, although we will use reasonable effortsto accommodate such requests.

If a virtual course booking is changed to an in-person course (whether within oroutside the UK), this will also be treated as a cancellation of the original booking. While we will use reasonable efforts to accommodate the change, if weare unable to do so, you will remain liable for the full fee for the original virtual course, in addition to the full fee for any in-person course booked.

Cancellation Policy - Overseas

For overseas training, no fee will be charged provided we receive written notice of cancellation at least two weeks prior to the scheduled start time of the course. If notice is received after this point, the full course fee will be payable.

For example, if a course is scheduled to begin at 2:00pm on Friday 21st, we must receive written notice of cancellation no later than 2:00pm on Friday 7th for no fee to apply. Any cancellation received after 2:00pm on Friday 7th will result in the full fee being payable.

 Any request to change the date or time of a course will be treated as a cancellation of the original booking, although we will use reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests.

In exceptional circumstances where planned travel is not possible due to cancellations, severe delays, or other events outside our reasonable control,the course will be delivered remotely where feasible. In such cases, the applicable remote delivery fees will apply.

Expenses – In the UK

Where delivery requires travel within the UK outside the M25, all reasonable travel and accommodation costs incurred by the trainers in delivering the course will be payable by you. Assurety Ltd will itemise these costs on the relevant invoice.

Travel by car will be charged at £0.45 per mile. Public transport will be charged at standard class rates. Where no reasonable public transport option is available,taxi fares may be charged.

For training sessions taking place outside the M25 that are scheduled to start before 1:00pm, overnight accommodation for the trainers on the preceding nightwill be required and charged accordingly.

Anyroom hire and audio-visual (AV) costs arranged by Assurety Ltd will be payableby you and itemised on the invoice.

Expenses – Overseas

All reasonable travel, vaccination, accommodation, and visa related costs incurred by the trainers in delivering the course will be payable by you. Assurety Ltd will itemise these costs on the relevant invoice.

Any room hire and audio-visual (AV) costs arranged by Assurety Ltd will be payableby you and itemised on the invoice.

Non-refundable Costs and Travel Disruption

Wherea course is cancelled by you (irrespective of when cancellation occurs), or where travel is not possible due to cancellations, severe delays, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control, you will be liable for any costs already incurred by Assurety Ltd in connection with the course (including, but not limited to, flights and accommodation) to the extent that such costs arenon-refundable.

If flights or other transport are delayed by more than four hours on either leg of the journey, Assurety Ltd reserves the right to arrange alternative transport and/or additional accommodation for the trainers where reasonably necessary. Any such reasonable additional costs will be payable by you and itemised on theinvoice.

Confidentiality

As part of the process when you enquire about a booking or make a booking or when we deliver training or after delivery of training, you and we may exchange confidential information. In this context confidential information means all or any information that is designated as confidential or that you or we should reasonably assume to be confidential given the nature of the information or the circumstances of its disclosure.

If you or we receive such information you and we agree that it shall be treated as confidential and shall not be used nor disclosed to any other person, save as necessary in connection with any booking enquiry or making a booking or delivery of training or with post-delivery administration or with the disclosing party’s prior written consent.

Payment Terms

Invoices issued to law firms are payable within 14 days of the invoice date. Bookings made by non-legal entities must be paid in full in advance of delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing. All fees are exclusive of VAT and applicable taxes.

Assurety reserves the right to charge interest on overdue invoices in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 and to withhold delivery of services where payment has not been received.
