Top-Up Training: Sharpening skills close to trial

Top-Up Training is designed for witnesses who have already completed an Assurety course and are approaching the hearing date. Delivered shortly before the witness is due to give evidence, it provides a cross-examination refresher, often with a different barrister, exposing the witness to varied questioning styles and building further resilience under pressure.

Delivered by a Barrister and Communications Expert or Performance Psychologist, the session is designed both to cover new ground in cross-examination and to take a revised approach to previous topics, helping simulate the challenge of barristers’ different approaches to questioning.

The session consolidates earlier learning, embeds best practice and sharpens the skills the witness will need in court, ensuring they are fully prepared to give their most effective and authentic evidence.
