Designed during the Covid 19 lockdown, this course is delivered using video conferencing this course contains all of the content of our Intensive and Intensive plus course, as well as the bespoke cross-examination practice and feedback. Importantly, we have devised a section drawing on our communications trainer’s expertise that provides the witnesses with technical and practical tips to perform well on camera as well as dealing with documents presented electronically.
Our communications trainers all have in front of camera experience which, we believe is key when it comes to offering advice on authenticity and effectiveness as a witness. These include eye contact to the camera, vocal clarity and pace, environment, non-verbal indicators. As former and current actors they are acutely aware of how to produce numerous 'self-tapes' (self-filmed auditions ) for daily / weekly scrutiny which requires them to exhibit skills that are vital for their credibility.
Following their intense cross examination, witnesses are given detailed feedback by both the personal communications expert and the leading barrister and then immediately put this feedback into practice by being cross-examined again until they are feeling completely confident and relaxed about the process. That cross-examination practice and trainer feedback is recorded and provided to the participant at the end of the course.
